Shredding

The Mailbox is committed to helping our customers prevent identity theft by offering certified shredding services for financial documents and paperwork with personal information. Currently shredding in-house isn’t sufficient enough to protect ones identity. Identity theft starts with the misuse of your personal identity information such as your name and Social Security number, credit card numbers, or other financial account information. Skilled identity thieves may use a variety of methods to obtain your information, including Dumpster Diving whereby they rummage through trash looking for bills or other paper with your personal information on it.

The Mailbox upholds strict measures of security when it comes to our secure destruction services. Only employees have access where documents are stored in a secure locked bin until transfer to Recall. Documents that are collected through Recall’s secure containers are ensured to be shredded into minuscule pieces, not readable to the naked eye. You can be confident that your information has undergone a tightly controlled destruction process that is efficient and secure. At the end of the document shredding process all paper material will be pulped whenever possible.
