The Mailbox Ballard will be closing at 12pm on Friday, June 12, and will donate all proceeds from the morning to Black Lives Matter Seattle King County. We do this to stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and to allow our employees to attend the March. COVID-19 Update
// themailboxballard // Shipping News No Responses
The Mailbox Ballard remains committed to serving the neighborhood during this crisis. Shipping and Business service operations such as ours have been deemed essential by Governor Inslee and are permitted to continue operations during the latest “Stay at Home” directive.
We are adhering to CDC recommendations to keep both our staff and clientele safe. We are wiping down surfaces regularly, hand sanitizer is available at the counter, protective gear is being used, hands are washed regularly, social distancing directives are being enforced, and a sanitizing UVC light is deployed nightly.
Effective Monday, March 30th our store hours are temporarily being adjusted to deal with economic challenges presented by this public health crisis. We will be open Monday through Friday from 10am until 5pm. At this time, Saturday operations will continue from 10am until 3pm. Our decision to remain open has been made based on the information currently available, and if conditions change we will remain flexible and adapt however is necessary.
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement, expressions of support, and thoughts toward us as we’ve worked to determine best courses of action and practices during this pandemic. We want to sincerely thank the neighborhood for their continued support. Together we are stronger and can persevere through anything.
Stay Well,
Your Mailbox Family,
Andy, Sara, John, and Gretchen

When you shop Small Business Saturday at The Mailbox Ballard, you’re shopping small at dozens of local businesses. Because we shop small too. From greeting cards, to pantry items, we stock as many local vendors as possible. And we even source our packaging materials from a local supplier. So more of the dollars you spend with us, stay with your community. Pop in to check off your holiday to-do list. And when you’re done, grab a cup of Joe at our small neighbor La Copa, or a meal at Cafe Munir.
